Not actual security, mind you, just a promise. I think the usual form is “hey, the groping is for your security, if you don’t like it just don’t fly!” Stay tuned for another lecture from them on how you should give up your gun, because government will always be there to protect you.

I’d like to know what other private businesses have security provided for them by the US Government ?
I don’t see any body scanners at greyhound or Amtrak.
I think the TSA should have breathalyzers and monitors at EVERY bar in the US as more people die due to ” drunk driving ” than ” accidents ” on air planes. And that’s a proven statistic.

These are the same people who supported the Patriot Act and wanted to attack Iraq for imaginary weapons. I drove around Manhattan with signs on my windows quoting Ben Franklin saying that those who would trade liberty and freedom for security and safety deserved neither as well as a big sign stating Saddam is not a thereat to you or me. I was called a traitor. It really annoyed me.
