MATABUNGKAY BEACH. order the taxi driver to bring you to Batangas bus station. Inquire any drivers in uniform or office personnel how to go to Matabungkay or cheap beaches in Batangas. maybe 6000-80000 is too high alreay because I lodge maybe 500 per day. and food is cheap in the Philippines. Be careful with strange persons. Inquire only with those in authority.
..
Go to San Juan, Batangas, now being called “the poor man’s Palawan”.
You can search for beaches in that area like laiya, La luz…
Not sure if you can find beach resorts for 6-8t for 20 persons. I suggest punta baluarte in calatagan. The place is old but well kept. I’m sure they will be more than willing to fix you a package that will suit your needs and budget.
Matabungkay is not that nice. Been there last weekend and i don’t really recommend it. The place is very old, the beach is not nice at all.
There are lots of small resorts in nasugbu which may suit your needs.
Another option is to go a ferry ride from batangas city to puerto galera in Mindoro. It’s about one hour away from batangas city by ferry. The beach is white sand and lots of resorts will accomodate you, most don’t even need prior booking and are used to handling walk-in groups.
Good luck.
I was about to suggest the Punta Fuego in Nasugbu, Batangas but since the price you’ve mentioned is for budget then try Laiya, San Juan, Batangas— Situated within this cove is Sabangan Beach Resort, with its Asian-inspired cottages. Adventure seekers can hike up to nearby Mt. Daguldol, while snorkelers & divers can enjoy the marine sanctuary not too far away.
you can visit their website:

or call: (632) 632-1689 or (0917) 842-1376
Good luck! (–,)
hi lushbabe4u
how did you book in punta fuego, nasugbu? is it fine sand?
i’ve been to laiya and the sand is not that good at all.
I would recommend Matabungkay Beach Resort too. It’s a multi-awarded resort that offers 57 superior and executive guest rooms, 12 suites and 16 villas. All rooms are air conditioned with private bathroom and spacious private veranda. Hot and cold bath facilities, cable TV, and mini bars are available for all suites & selected executive rooms. They offer an amazing beauty & wellness package too, so you can pamper yourself while you’re on vacation.
Matabungkay Beach Resort is located in Lian, Batangas which is only about 2.5 hours from Manila.
Best of all, you can book online, so you can have your reservations confirmed beforehand. The beach resorts in Batangas tend to be packed especially during the peak season so better reserve early. http://www.matabungkay.net/
i heard from people where i came from (cavite) that Puetro Gallera is the next big thing comparable to Boracay… anywas havent been there but they said its really nice.
go to Taal Batangas. There is a lot of resort there including the lake side.
batangas city is more like a port so the water there is oily and somewhere is with city sewage. matabungkay has a beach slope that suddenly goes deep, the water stinks dirty or full of jelly fish and the shore is clogged with bancas and floating huts for rent you can easily bump your head by them or get your neck entangled with the ropes, plenty hawkers walk by so you can’t leave your camera on the towel at the sand. matabungkay beach resort is situated in rocky area and you’re locked within the resort to contend with pricey amenities. nasugbu water has that fresh wisp with rolling waves and the beach is a nice beach with fine sand.several resorts abound that are well kept and not too pricey, one is john dell which may fall well within your budget. from batangas city pier, you can also go to puerto galera in mindoro by a quick hovercraft ride and additional jeepney ride to whitesands where several huts are available for rent and the place has plenty of food and souvenir shops. air, sun and sand is great there too
