I bought the car for 5500 dollars in August and in 3 months I have spent almost 3 grand in repairs and maintenance. The reason I am reluctant to sell it is because I doubt I could get much more than I bought it for, or even break even. And at that, if i sell for 5500 or even more, i still basically threw 3000 away.
what would you do in my case?

That’s the bad part about buying car with poor resale.
Audi has a poor track record for reliability and cost of parts and repair. This makes the resale poor. Aftermarket support is somewhat strong and there are many aftermarket parts available. They do nothing for reliability and could lead to more costly repairs.
If you are looking for a more reliable sporty car then there are lots out there.
Cars depreciate. Cost of maintence and repairs are often not recouped in the sale of used cars. That is why leasing is popular.
What I would do? Decide if I can afford to take the loss and purchase a replacement car as well as modify the car to suit my needs.
